Will it go through the door?

The width of the wall is half the story. A sofa that fits the room perfectly can still spend its first night on the landing.

Measure the narrowest point

Walk the route from the street to the room and measure every door, hall and stair along it. The number that matters is the smallest one. Measure a doorway with the door open, from the frame on one side to the face of the door on the other.

Then the depth

A piece goes through a door on its side or tipped back, so its depth matters more than its width. Every product page lists the depth. If it is less than your narrowest door, it will go through.

Watch the turns

Tight stairs with a turn are the usual problem. Measure the height from the top step to the ceiling above it, and the width of the landing. If you are not sure, send us the numbers and a photo before you order, and we will tell you honestly.

If it still will not fit

Our sofas have legs that unscrew and arms that bolt on, which saves 12 cm on most of them. And if it really will not go in, we take it back at our cost.
